Comment:

 Yes, pidgin automatically reconnects. No, there isn't any indication that
 pidgin is going to try that. If an account fails to connect there will be
 a notification to this effect in the bottom of the buddy list window
 (which contains a reconnect button most of the time). Yes, you can
 manually force a connection attempt regardless of the buddy list
 notification (either by disabling and re-enabling the account or simply by
 switching to any other status that has that account be online). We are
 open to any suggestions you have regarding better ways to display this
 information.
