 This should not be changed to AIM.

 I have the same problem tonight between Pidgin on Linux/Fedora9 and
 Windows/XP 2.5.2. I've punched a whole in the XP firewall as I thought
 that might be the problem but the symptoms are sames as above and these
 are XMPP accounts.

 Machines are sitting next to each other but are on different subnets with
 routable public addresses, ie no NAT/Firewall tricks inbetween besides
 built-in host firewall on xp which has been turned off.

 Transfer is accepted, waits on client and receiver for 5-10 seconds, then
 disappears from receiver queue and sender receives a message that the
 receiver cancelled/stopped/whatever.
