 My concern with this idea is that I'm uncertain that most people will
 assume that un-tabbed windows are going to be treated by window type.

 The tabbed "Separate IM and Chat windows" option should save sizes for
 each type of window and if that does not (it didn't always in the past, I
 can't remember what it does now) that is something I would consider a bug.

 I'd even extend that to saying that the "By account" and "By group"
 placement options should likely be allowed to store per-account or per-
 group window sizes.

 As stated above I'm just not sure what the natural assumption of people
 who disable all tabbing is with respect to window types/sizes/etc.
