 You close a bug as a "duplicate" without stating what the duplicated bug
 is? Tonto, this ain't Mozilla's bugzilla anymore. This is no good way to
 "welcome community feedback". :-(

 Can you please reopen this bug until you are able to explicitly
 demonstrate that there exists another bug on this issue?

 BTW: So what, if there is "no clear guideline" on try icon behavior. The
 more reason to implement this clear improvement.

 PS. You don't think the specific settings I mentioned (ability to "check
 for updates" and the ability to set "start Pidgin when windows starts")
 should be '''available in the Preferences''' per default (even if de-
 selected per default) (and not plug-ins that have to be manually added)?
 You think having access to commonly wanted preferences is "forcing"
 something on the user? That's a really odd standpoint.
