 By looking at 'top' on Linux, I just realized that Pidgin requires a crazy
 amount of virtual memory and uses too many processes:

 Virtual mem.: 1193 Mb
 Number of process: 129 (!)

 No other application requires so much virtual memory or uses so many
 processes. All I have is two opened channels in irc.mozilla.org (IRC) and
 one opened account on AIM.
