 Understood.
 Realize, I raise this issue, because I have become a Pidgin avalengist
 here within the company I work for (large telecom company).

 As we speak, I'm also trying to understand way my AOL coonection, in
 Pidgin, is shutting down every 1.5 mins, going thru a FaceTime server,
 while the actual AOL IM client (version: 5.9.x) is stable.

 So, my sole desire, is to have Pidgin be the defacto IM client in use here
 via a grass-roots acceptance.  The Jabber server team here, is also not a
 direct department of the IT team, and is trying to get Jabber established
 (we have over 15K users running on the Jabber server).
