 "Log all chats" refers to multi-user chats.  "Log all instant messages"
 refers to one-on-one conversations.  In the specific case of MSN, multi-
 user chats would be contained in the MSN Chat directory as khc indicated,
 while one-to-one conversations would be contained in directories matching
 the other user's passport address.
