 Yes I have the check box "require TLS" selected. In this case I get the
 message "Sie fordern Verschlüsselung, aber diese ist auf dem Server nicht
 verfügbar" which means "you require encryption which is not supported by
 the server".

 Encrypted connection with Gajim to the same port (5222) works fine.

 Any idea?
