 Windows comes with the correct SASL modules, you don't need to install
 anything by hand.

 Do you have the 'Require TLS' checkbox selected for the account? If so, do
 you see an error message in the bottom of the buddy list when pidgin fails
 to connect your account? One that says that you require TLS but the server
 doesn't support it? The debug log you posted shows that the server is not
 offering TLS as an option.
