Comment:

 Pidgin is an X11 application, and thus hooks into X to determine idleness
 when configured correctly to do so.  Finch, on the other hand, is not an
 X11 application.  Finch should not be checking for X idleness.  If you
 dislike this behavior, then turn off idle reporting.
