 The second and third paragraphs which describes the correct behavior
 should be dropped. As I read it again, I realized I didn't make much
 sense. :P

 In that light, the suggested resolution is not acceptable. The fact is,
 Finch is in a completely different environment than Pidgin, and so it
 should act differently in areas affected by the differences in its
 environment, such as the one in this bug report.

 Really, what should happen here, is Finch's "Change status when Idle" (or
 something similar) setting should be separate from Pidgin's.

 Sorry for the confusion.
