 I think this might be a duplicate of
 http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/6604

 Also, I think that pidgin has an option to only accept messages from those
 on your buddy list:

    Tools -> Privacy -> Allow only the users on my buddy list

 You'll have to do this for each account you want to 'Set privacy for'.
