 Please follow [wiki:TipsForBugReports the instructions] to get a debug log
 and attach it to this ticket.[[BR]]It could certainly be the Skype plugin.
 It also could be related to shutting down the machine when pidgin was in
 the middle of saving the accounts file.

 The debug log include output indicating why pidgin isn't able to load the
 file.
