 ctrl-w is also relatively standard (at least among the few applications I
 use with tabs) and I'm sure there are other 'standards' as well, which
 makes picking one difficult and makes switching the choice we already made
 difficult. Unless there is a compelling reason to switch I don't think we
 have much reason to do so.
