 well i guess in addition to this, perhaps there should be a way to
 tell/notify the user if a certain protocol is not what is listed on the
 bottom bar/selected globally. this is not to say i don't appreciate all
 the work done, i love pidgin and appreciate all the work the developers
 put into it, just trying to give a suggestion that to help people avoid
 the same confusion i have had.
