 Hi,

 All three machines are running badly. Essentially, I've found that Pidgin
 runs slowly like this when installed on ANY machine, provided it is
 pointing to our .purple folder. Prior to that adjustment (ie, right after
 installing Pidgin, but prior to pointing it to .purple) the Pidgin app
 runs fine.

 To answer your second question, re: memory draining apps, no ...nothing
 like this is installed on the machines. Note that all other apps on the
 machines run fine.

 As for Pidgin For Lib, we did not develop that. I didn't configure these
 originally, so I did some research. I think that plugin is now called
 "Library H3lp" (http://code.google.com/p/libraryh3lp/wiki/LibraryH3lp).

 I'm thinking of trying to run Pidgin with the plugins disabled to see if
 that helps.
