 Sorry about opening a new ticket, I tried to reopen this one, there was no
 option to do so and I could not get it to happen by adding a new comment
 for some reason.

 The proxy situation is that we have an automatic detection script, if I
 set the proxy manually it will uncheck that option after a random period
 and fall back to the auto script which cannot be disabled. The proxy port
 is 8080.

 Are you saying that if I get the 403 error that occurred when the plugin
 fails to contact the correct server, I now won't see it? I would have
 thought that it was better to pass through the 403 so that it's obvious
 that an error happened.
