 Yes I understand that it would be a lot of extra work, and maybe it's
 unrealistic. But it would be nice to have a better abstraction, and keep
 in mind that also all the workarounds that are needed to handle these
 messages in every plugin have to be maintained and adjusted according to
 protocol changes.

 Bonjour: The empty font tag is very likely not needed and caused by the
 (not perfect) fix for #6601
