 I ran into this problem this morning (Windows/2.5.1). I got the "Unable to
 Retrieve Buddy List" dialog every 30 seconds or so. Disabling/reenabling
 the account had no effect. An hour later, no problem, so likely an outage.
 The dialog really should only come up once for the whole Pidgin session.
