 Pidgin is great, but starting a chat with several contacts is a bit
 cumbersome. I would like to be able to select more than one contact (using
 shift or ctrl), right-click one of them and choose "start chat". That
 would be a lot easier and handier than the current procedure.

 Allowing to select more than one contact would also be useful to perform
 the same action on more than one contact: IM two friends, get their info,
 send them a file, view their logs.

 Any action that can't be performed on more than one contact (e.g. edit
 their alias) could just appear greyed out.
