 pidgin does support type-ahead find for buddies in the buddy list but does
 not support filtering of the view based on what is typed, simply start
 typing with the focus in the buddy list. It isn't as useful as it might
 otherwise be unfortunately because of the way GTK+ handles the searching
 internally.
