 Dear sirs,
I searched for this issue and found nothing. I am not an expert in C
language and sort of new to compiling stuff under Windows. But Lately I
have been asked to compile Pidign with just one protocol, namely jabber,
for security purposes. We have succeded in doing so under Linux by doing
 ./configure --disable-plugins --with-static-prpls=jabber, although
protocol Google talk is included, which should not. I wonder why...
Then, I had to build pidgin for WINXP. First, I had a hard time to bring
up the cygwin environment as per your instructions (Should include that
one MUST have admin credentials if you are under Microsoft AD policy).
Then, I finally manage to compile pidgin, this time with all protocols.
After searching here in the docs and googling Web, I could not find any
information about how to build pidgin under WINXP with just ONE PROTOCOL,
namely jabber, without messing up with searches in the .c and .h codes e
 so on.
yet, I could make it out by editing makefile.im, am and mingw an by
cutting references to other protocols. However, Google Talk still
remained. I wonder if there is a way to do it using Make -f
 Makeinstall.ming parameters or so.
I know I am missing something or I did not go that far in the pidgin docs
but I have been working on and at it for a month and my schedule is late
 accordingly.
