 2. Check that Pidgin | Accounts | ICQ | Edit | Advanced | Encoding =
 CP1251
 3. Send a message: 'тестовое сообщение. Please reply with the same'. This
 could be copied and pasted from above.
 4. The reply text should be the same, but it will be garbled.
