 From time to time, pidgin at startup starts displaying "so and so is not
 on the server's list, do you want to keep it on your local list", for all
 the entries that I have. This results in hundreds of dialog boxes to open
 at once, hanging the entire Fedora 10. At the bottom of the screen, I can
 see the open dialogs - hundreds of them, as thin little slices. If I wait
 long enough, I can start a command line and enter killall -9 pidgin to
 stop the madness.

 Usually at the second launch, pidgin behaves, but I lose the messages or
 events that might have happened while I was away - because I could not
 read them and had to kill pidgin.

 Version numbers are:
