 Please follow [wiki:TipsForBugReports the instructions] to get a debug log
 and attach it to this ticket.[[BR]]For this to happen, something
 unexpected must be occurring when retrieving your server buddylist (such
 that these buddies are missing) - if it doesn't subsequently happen, it
 must be an intermittent issue.

 A debug log from when it occurs might be helpful.

 (there are other tickets (e.g. #1184) about a better UI for the
 synchronization, but that isn't the real problem here)
