 It must be tied to the OS to some degree, perhaps as you say in the
 caching methods, because this only happens for me with the Windows, none
 of my LINUX machines have the issue, but every Windows machine I use I
 must do the ipconfing /flushdns.  So it's OS related in a way, in that
 either the OS has a bug in how it deals with the dns cache, or pidgin is
 using the dns cache incorrectly.
