New description:

 I tried to message a failed-delivery report to a contact of mine and
 pidgin hanged. I tried three times again, and each time the program hung
 exactly after i pressed control+v with the "poisonous" input.

 It does this quite often when i use the gtk input method to type longer
 texts in cyrillic translit; i hope this is the same issue since the
 translit issue is what really bothers me.

 I am attaching what i could muster of a backtrace, and a txt file with the
 same killer input.

 UPD: i updated to pidgin 2.5.8; the issue persists.
