 In an attempt to restore connectivity, I reinstalled version 2.5.8 over
 the top of my 2.6.1 install and found that now with 2.5.8 the same
 behavior is found as reported for 2.6.1. Prior to installing 2.6.1 my
 2.5.8 installation was working without any problems.
