 Interestingly, inspecting some proxy requests from Firefox, it seems to be
 using GSS/Negotiate (SPNEGO) rather than NTLM.

 So is the NTLM that pidgin is trying to use using the GSS tickets on my
 Linux machine?  Most certainly I do have a:

 08/23/09 11:56:37  08/23/09 21:54:12  HTTP/linux.interlinx.bc.ca at ILINX
         renew until 08/24/09 11:54:55

 ticket.  Is that what it's trying to use?  Is this a squid configuration
 deficiency perhaps?  I will go see what I can do about squid3 and NTLM and
 see if I get any more joy.
