Comment:

 This is what I was hoping for, to have it (the editor) left in the state
 that it was last left in, if that was the case then there would be no
 issue and no need for any preference and no default status.

 I do hope something can be done since it's rather unsettling to have your
 status change when you didn't change it yourself and no other client works
 in this kind of divergent manner.
