 at that point in time I didn't see it.
 I think it would be wise to witch hunt all of these. and let do_transfer
 do that.
 which implicates that every prpl out there must implment go through a path
 that leads to do_transfer  ( ==> every prpl must implement a read/write
 methode) which chould get rid of a lot of code duplication ?

 btw .. target realease date for 2.7.0 is ?
