 Because I sound quite unconstructive there here is what I think should
 happen:

 If you're not going to show the image itself, show the alt attributes
 content. No matter if there is a id attribute or not. If there is no alt
 attribute show a broken image symbol (as it is right now when there is a
 id attribute), because the URI takes up to much space (BUGabundo said this
 makes tweet.im unusable for him). And then provide a easy way to get the
 URI/image.
