 This isn't a HUGE issue, really, just more of an annoyance: whenever I
 paste something into Pidgin, my font settings clear and return to the
 program's defaults. In order to get them back I have to either futz with
 the settings in the window, or close it and open it again.  I've tried
 copy/pasting previous text into the window and continuing to type, but it
 doesn't seem to work.
