 As most of the computers these days are either equipped with a 3 button
 mouse button or can emulate one, even some of the touch-pads can also
 emulate a middle click.

 Hence, would not it be good to make the middle mouse button work for
 Expand/Collapse options on the Buddy List?

 I'm quite of touch these days and not very active on development and, or
 on IRC. But, If am not wrong it was discussed at #pidgin  and was
 appreciated by a some the active developers a few months ago.

 Hope the idea clicks you and someone picks it up to implements this tiny
 but quite a useful feature.
