New description:

Currently you can only search the chat logs by viewing the logs for a
single user and then typing in the search box once it has opened. There
should be a way to search all logs of all users at once. I suggest
combining the '''View User Log''' dialog and the '''Conversations with
username''' into a single '''View logs''' window.

The ability to type in part of a username, be shown a list of matching
names, and then autocomplete the name and protocol is wonderful. It
should definitely be kept. However, I think it should be added as a
"filter" at the top of the log viewer window instead.

Clicking "View Logs" from the main menu will open up a window showing you
your most recent conversations in chronological order, but including logs
from every user. You can then type a username in the filter bar, getting
the same functionality as I just described, and then view only
 conversations with that particular user.

Of course the left-side pane will need to show user information as well as
date information, but it should still be primarily in chronological order.

Right-clicking a user and selecting "View Log" will open the same dialog,
except with their username pre-filled in the filter box, achieving the
same functionality as it currently does.

I'm not sure if it would be useful to allow filtering by multiple users.
Maybe the text bar could accept more than one comma-separated name, with
them each being autocompleted in the same way (somewhat like the To: field
 in Gmail's compose mode).
