 I know the Trac should not be used for issues regarding MTN snapshots,
 yet, since the defect is a huge one, I thought about posting it here. I
 apologize if I posted in an invalid way.
 Anyway, as you asked, I took the morning to browse through latest
 revisions, to find the first one having this problem, and I pinpointed it
 into revision c2797e3aebf59d6216bf8bf5546e6828d238cdde . From that one on,
 last used status is not remembered when Pidgin is closed. Next boot,
 you'll always be "Online", even if your local status is still set to
 invisible.
