Comment:

 Tried fc-cache as root & myself, no change.
 Messed around w/ enabling/disabling Plugin: Pidgin GTK+ Theme control. It
 was not enabled, I enabled it w/out change. THen I tried the selecting
 GTK+ Interface font again no change.
