 Well, it got sillier recently. Submenus now cause the parent menu to
 vanish. For example, open the Buddies menu, and move the cursor over Show.
 The Show submenu appears and the Buddies menu disappears. Not sure when it
 started doing it, but obviously that's a GTK+ bug.
