Comment:

 The ticket will be closed if there is no activity in two weeks while it is
 pending status (it doesn't matter who says something).

 The pending status will only be removed if the reporter replies in that
 period.

 There is no point keeping stuff open that we're waiting for information on
 indefinitely.
