New description:

 When trying to send a message to an offline contact I get the following
 message (translated from german): "Can't send message: Service
 unavailable"

 That error seems to happen from time to time for more than a year now.
 There is this closed ticket: [http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/6732] with
 "worksforme" but it seems the reason behind this bug isn't found yet.

 It could also be that it happens more frequently with non-english users.
 I'm not sure about that though. So please don't close as 'worksforme' as
 this error doesn't occur all the time but it certainly is there often
 enough.
