 You need to either disable your router from acting as your DNS server (so
 that SRV lookups work correctly), or if your router isn't the problem
 figure out what other device/service is and fix that, or set
 'talk.google.com' as the Connect Server for your account in pidgin (which
 is likely what you have in the pidgin configuration on Windows assuming
 you aren't sharing the configuration between Windows and linux).
