 Another interesting information.

 I started to look for the differences trying to understand why I have no
 problems
 to connect with my Windows client but have and can't connect with my linux
 client
 and I found that on my windows partition I had version 2.4.3 installed.
 I upgraded it to 2.5.4 and guess what ??
 Yap, I can't connect to google talk any more.

 As a test I removed pidgin 2.5.4 from my system and reinstalled 2.4.3 and
 it took exactly 12 seconds (according to the debug log) to connect to
 google talk.

 It seems like a regression.
