 On a related note, you sent mail to the support list about another
 Communigate issue. That issue is also the result of a Communigate RFC
 violation. Specifically, Communigate sends pidgin an IQ stanza without an
 id attribute, which violates the requirements for IQ stanzas from the
 [http://xmpp.org/internet-drafts/draft-saintandre-rfc3920bis-08.html
 #stanzas-semantics-iq RFC3920bis] draft (this requirement was also in the
 original RFC). Similarly, Communigate is responding to pidgin's IQ error
 about the missing id attribute with a second error response, which
 violates a second IQ stanza requirement.

 My apologies for not responding to you on the list, but that email address
 is broken at the moment. I am working on fixing it and will respond with a
 link to this comment when I am able.

 I'm marking this ticket pending as we are waiting for a response from
 Communigate.
