 Closed as duplicate of #479.[[BR]]Closed as duplicate of #479.

 There are two closely-related bugs here. One, an XMPP-specific bug, was
 fixed in (off the top of my head) 2.5.3, and the other is fixed in the
 im.pidgin.cpw.darkrain42.buddy-add branch. In general, adding buddies on
 XMPP should be significantly better in 2.5.3+.

 To resolve this frustrating duplication, you need to close Pidgin and
 remove one of the duplicates from your `blist.xml`.
