Comment(by khratos):
Report:
1. After changing several times the display pictures that were resized
using GIMP,
Results: No problem appeared. All fine.
2. I tried to use those resized pictures on Kopete.
Results: Couldn't make my contacts to see my buddy icon, Even the black
display did not appeared.
3. After relogin again on Pidgin:
a. One of my contacts was able to see the Buddy Icon AGAIN.
b. I was not able to see the buddy icon from the Yahoo Mess on a
vmWare Windows running on my PC. (The black box was there)
4. Changing the Buddy Icon to another previously resized pics:
a. One of my contacts was able to see the new Buddy Icon, no problem.
b. I was not able to see buddy icon from Yahoo Mess on vmWare Win on my
PC.
(The black box was there)
5. Signing Out/In from vmWare Windows running on my PC.
a. Changes were reflected, that is, The previously changed picture
(step 4) was there
visible without problems.
It does not leads to a concrete conclusion, but:
1. Resized images with GIMP appears to be working fine.
2. The 'black box' could be related with Yahoo servers or some kind of
corrupted cache on Users
side.
NOTES:
1. Before resizing the pics with GIMP (PREVIOUS message), NONE of my
contacts
could see my buddy icons, no matter what picture I used.
2. The only way to reflect changes on buddy icons is to change them on
'Edit Account' options.
The other way to changing it (main window) is just ignored apparently.
