New description:

On an XMPP account with "New mail notifications" enabled: The mail count
tally appears at the top of the buddy list. If the account gets
disconnected for whatever reason, while the initial mail count is still
displayed at the top, when the account subsequently reconnects the
original mail count gets doubled. It seems to be that the counter never
gets reset to 0 during reconnection.
