 Neither of the two suggested texts covers the actual issue involved,
 though I imagine they cover the cases where you saw this problem show up.
 You can add a duplicate of an existing account regardless of the buddy
 list or enabled status of the duplicated account. Most of the time we see
 this error in fact (or at least the times people complain) involve people
 who know exactly what they are doing and are intentionally trying to
 create what we are considering a duplicate account on their XMPP server.

 The message is exceedingly vague though and would be much improved were it
 to say something closer to "An account with this username/password has
 already been added/created. To Modify the existing account press the
 Modify button, to edit the new account press Cancel."

 I'm not sure what we could do to notify people that they are entering
 duplicate information while the dialog is still up but I do think it would
 be a good idea.
