 dear all,

 how to disable the "mailto:" hyperlink which is shown to people we chat
 with if we enter our email address in the conversation?

 sometimes there are misunderstanding because of the
 mailto:username at domain.com shown to the people we chat with. some people
 thought my email is "mailto:username at domain.com" which it should be only
 "username at domain.com" showed.

 and on the older version of pidgin, sometimes if the email is quite long,
 it deletes some of the username character, for example if the email is
 "poerwono at haryonotours.com", the shown email on the other people is
 "mailto:oerwono at haryonotours.com". that's just plain wrong, if the people
 try to click the link they've got on the message windows, the email would
 be not correct "oerwono at haryonotours.com" instead of
 "poerwono at haryonotours.com".
