 I think the attached patch will fix this issue, but I will wait for a more
 avid yahoo-using developer (if one is willing to admit as such ;) ) to
 decide whether we want to do this or not.

 I will point out that the official messenger doesn't seem to convert
 'user at host' into a mailto: link in messages being sent. So the behaviour
 with this patch makes us more like the official messenger.
