 I haven't been able to get ICQ/AIM blocking to work for as long as I've
 been using GAIM, Gaim, and Pidgin in Windows (XP 32bit).  It's one of the
 various reasons I recently started trying out another multi-IM app.  I
 know I've either commented on or opened tickets about this problem in
 years past, though I'm not finding any of those tickets in some searches.
 At one point, sometime after 2.0 was released, I hooked up with a Linux
 Pidgin user and we tried blocking each other in various ways.  All
 attempts failed to work for both of us, confirming that it was a cross-
 platform problem, and not just a fluke with my installation or with the
 Windows port.

 I have not explicitly tested this problem out since then, and don't
 receive enough "SPIM" to be able to say "I know this problem affected me
 as recently as version 2.a.b."

 Like oxyph, my accounts are both pretty old.  I know I was using ICQ in
 college, and think I was also using AIM in college, so both accounts
 should be from the late 1990's.
